H. Paul Moon is a filmmaker whose works concentrate on the performing arts. Films include “Sitka: A Piano Documentary” about the craftsmanship of Steinway pianos, “Quartet for the End of Time” about Olivier Messiaen’s transcendent WWII composition, and an acclaimed documentary feature about the life and music of American composer Samuel Barber that premiered on PBS. Moon has created music videos and concert films for numerous composers ranging from Moondog to Steve Reich, and four opera films set in a community garden. His film “The Passion of Scrooge” was awarded “Critic’s Choice” by Opera News as a “thoroughly enjoyable film version, insightfully conceived and directed” with “first-rate and remarkably illustrative storytelling.” He also was cinematographer for director Josephine Decker’s “First Day Out” in the anthology film “collective:unconscious.” Moon’s films have been screened to live audiences at over two hundred film festivals around the world, with several awards and museum exhibitions. Highlights include works featured in exhibitions at the Nevada Museum of Art and the City Museum of New York, PBS television broadcasts, and the Venice Biennale.
Abby Suckle received her Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to opening her own architectural firm, she practiced architecture with Pei Cobb Freed & Partners.
Ivan Schwartz is the founder and director of StudioEIS. He is a sculptor, painter, and designer with a keen interest in American history and the use of sculpture in the development of our national symbols, and explores the possibilities of visual language as a storyteller.
Philippe Gerber is a French film/TV/trailer composer, specializing in horror and psychological thrillers. He is currently based in Philadelphia, USA. Philippe is also an award-winning photographer and videographer. His work has been published in National Geographic, ABC News, Washington Post, Atlas Obscura, Huffington Post, France Inter, and more. Philippe has a PhD in Materials Science and a postdoctoral degree in Nuclear Physics, and worked as a nuclear researcher for the French government before switching careers to pursue music full-time.
Dennis is a Brooklyn native who has had a long-standing appreciation of early music. He is on the Gotham Early Music Scene’s videography team for its weekly Midtown Concerts live streams. As a frequent concert-goer, he has become well acquainted with musicians and venues throughout the city. Dennis studied Architecture Technology at the CUNY City Tech, but his studies have now turned toward the keyboard. He is an avid harpsichord enthusiast seeking proficiency with the instrument and its repertoire.
